Most browsers are currently set by default to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser so that cookies are only stored for the duration of the respective connection to the Internet. Performance Cookies

Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is used to collect data on a website and is a solution with which so-called website tags can be managed centrally via an interface. The data is not collected or stored, but only passed on to analysis programs such as Google Analytics or LinkedIn Insights for further processing. The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data of the users. Further information on the processing of Google Tag Manager data can be found on the following page.

Google Analytics

TrainingAid uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. of 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the Website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If you've activated IP-anonymisation, Google will reduce your IP address within the member states of the European Union and other member States to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP-address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and be reduced there.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Website, compiling reports on Website activity for TrainingAid, and providing other services relating to Website activity. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Website.

__utma, __utmb, __utmc, __utmz: These are Google Analytics cookies. Google Analytics helps us collect anonymous statistics on visitors to the site (numbers of visitors, which pages they are viewing, where in the world they are located, etc.). This helps us to better understand how people use the site and to improve it. Google will store this information (Readmore on Google Analytic's privacy policy here). You can opt-out of this by visiting here: Opt-out of Google Analytics cookies.

Social Media

LinkedIn: As part of our advertising measures, we use retargeting within LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). LinkedIn Conversion Tracking is a retargeting and analysis tool supported by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The Insight Tag causes a cookie, i.e. a tiny text file, to be stored in the user's web browser when the TrainingAid website is visited. The Insight Tag is integrated on the TrainingAid website and enables the collection of data such as the IP address, the time this website was accessed or the collection of defined events (e.g. downloads or page views). In addition, users can be shown interest-specific and relevant offers and recommendations that depend on which services, information and offers users have informed themselves about on the TrainingAid website. LinkedIn can also compile statistics with aggregated data about the use of and visits to the TrainingAid website. If a user is a LinkedIn member, demographic information, such as approximate location, may also be collected. The cookie stored by the Insight Tag in the browser remains there until it is manually deleted by the user or is automatically deleted after the Insight Tag was last loaded.

The storage of cookies can generally be edited via the setting of the web browser. Alternatively, users can specifically object to LinkedIn conversion tracking by setting an opt-out cookie that remains on the device until the user deletes the cookies. Users can deactivate the LinkedIn cookie under this link. LinkedIn members can do this by clicking on the "Opt-out on LinkedIn" field. Non-members click on "opt out". Further information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found here.

Facebook: On course pages and the blog section of the Website, TrainingAid uses Facebook plugins (e.g., the "Like Button") owned by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. When you open the pages within the Website that include such a plugin, your browser will connect directly to the servers of Facebook. The contents of the plugin originate from Facebook, Inc. and are transmitted directly to your browser and displayed accordingly on the Website. Facebook Inc. may understand from the information transmitted to the server of Facebook Inc. which pages of the Website you have visited and associate this information to a Facebook account. Furthermore, if you want to actively use Facebook plugins (e.g. press the Like button) corresponding information from your browser will be directly transmitted to Facebook Inc. For detailed information on how and to what extent the Facebook Inc. collects, processes and uses relevant data, please refer to the privacy policies of Facebook Inc. at: www.facebook.com/policy.php

Twitter: On the Website of TrainingAid, plugins of the short message service Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, are used (e.g. "tweet" button). When you visit our websites via the corresponding "tweet" button, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Twitter servers. Twitter receives the information that you have visited the Website using your IP address and may associate this information with your Twitter account. If you click on the "tweet" button while you are logged into your Twitter account you can link content on our pages with your Twitter profile. Thus, it is possible for Twitter Inc. to associate a visit to the Website with your Twitter account. TrainingAid has no influence on the transmission and processing of any data by Twitter Inc. For more information on data processing at Twitter, please refer to the privacy policy statement on http://twitter.com/privacy.

_unam: This cookie is related to the ShareThis Drupal module and enables integration with the ShareThis social media sharing. It allows you to use the share buttons on each page of the website and share content on the various social networks like Twitter, Facebook, etc. The cookie "_unam" monitors the web pages visited, the browsing and the time spent on each page. The service ShareThis identifies you personally only if you previously signed up apart with ShareThis and you gave your consent.
