Innovation, guest experience and networking: Philip Ibrahim has opened The Student Hotel Berlin in October 2019.

The hybrid hotel concept combines accommodations for students, Berlin tourists and long-stay guests, in a 4-star level hotel that redefines the term "together".
Prior to that, he worked for the European market leader Accor for 17 years. There he set new and innovative accents - from quiz nights to neighborhood markets to new F&B ideas to attract residents and guests alike.

With his hotel team, he has been training young people for years in in roles as chefs, hotel specialists and event managers.
Trained as a hotel manager, he previously held various operational roles and gained experience in sales and distribution as part of Accor's regional team.

In 2012, Philip Ibrahim founded the pinkPillow initiative together with visitBerlin, Berlin's city marketing. This globally unique alliance is a hotel collection for the LGBTQIA+ scene that unites hotels that care about one thing in particular: that every guest is allowed to be who they are. As the initiator of pinkPillow, he speaks internationally at events around the topic of "hospitality".

In 2018, Philip Ibrahim became deputy chairman of the hotel industry section of DEHOGA Berlin's executive committee. In 2022, he was elected vice president and specialist group chairman in the same body. There he is responsible for the areas of securing skilled workers and innovation.
