Holly Prievo earned her graduate degree from University of Florida’s Patel College of Global Sustainability’s Master Program with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism. She is a PM4SD™ (Project Management for Sustainable Tourism) Practitioner. For her thesis work, she examined PM4SD’s methodologies and techniques for embedded capacity building tools, and analyzed the program as a strategic guide for applying practical tools to sustainable tourism projects to pursue sustainability and success. She presented this work at a Sustainable Tourism Conference in Akuryeri, Iceland.
Holly has served as a Vice President for an organization focused on combating climate change through local and federal political channels and citizen-based action groups and owns a small business in the tourist town of Cocoa Beach, Florida. She is currently serving on the Green Committee for The National Folk Festival that is striving for a zero-waste event through recycling, supply chain management and composting methods.
She is a Marketing & Research Coordinator for an innovative LED technology company, Lighting Science Group, which is currently examining lighting solutions for energy efficiency, dematerialization in infrastructure, human wellness and biological lighting and technological solutions for mosquito control to combat vector-borne diseases.
