United States

Emma Jacobs (she/her/hers) is the Social Purpose and Sustainability Manager of Legacy Vacation Resorts, a certified B Corp. Emma brings a fresh perspective from her degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida where she discovered the B Corp movement. While studying sustainability for 4 years, Emma worked at an investment firm as Sustainability Coordinator to guide them through the B Corp certification process, co-created and launched the USF Business for Good Internship that connects student interns to businesses seeking B Corp certification, and wrote Honors Thesis titled Business for Good: How Universities Can Catalyze the B Corp Movement.

Emma’s long-standing interest in B Corp Certification led her to Legacy and has fueled her further efforts in driving Legacy’s social and environmental mission. In addition to being a certified B Corporation, Legacy is a member of 1% For the Planet, the Climate Collaborative, the SME Climate Hub, Business Ambition for 1.5, Race to Zero, America is All In, CERES, Citizens Climate Lobby, B Tourism, CREST, and the B Corp Climate Collective. Legacy is also committed to Net Zero by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. The company just submitted for B Corp Recertification in February 2022, where they hope to achieve 100+ points on the B Impact Assessment.
